Today, I am spending the evening with some exceptional teachers at Union University in Jackson, TN, with Dr. Anna Clifford's class.  We'll be discussing what characteristics of Web 2.0 make it most approachable for teachers and students.  We'll also consider what to watch out for when using these tools, too.

We had an awesome time tonight.  I really enjoyed talking, discussing and answering.  I was so excited to hear the variety and imperativeness of the questions.  I can tell that these teachers are really considering how to implement these technologies meaningfully and efficiently into their classrooms.  Thanks for having me tonight!  Good luck to all of you, and email me if you like.

Thank you so very much for coming! After your presentation, I went online to some of the websites you told us about. I now use igoogle as my home page and I don't waste time going to other sites to check my e-mail and facebook. I really feel like my eyes were more opened to web 2.0 since you came. You told us that teachers can make a site or e-mail for students that is controlled; what was the site? Thank you again for coming!!

Thank you Dr. Grant for sharing your abundance of knowledge with us recently. I am an adult student and have been away from the formal learning environment for quite a while. I can attest to the fact that technology has certainly changed. Web 2.0 is definitely a user friendly tool. I also found it interesting that teachers have access to free info. and can give their viewpoint to the designer about positives or negatives and they really listen. I look forward to researching more sites to use in my future classroom.

By carefully thinking and planning, with adequate courage and confidence, we have no reason to fail.
